Pony Town (…and ???)

Posted on May 13, 2025 by zzzPonyPuristv3-0

Good day again Everypony,

Next up is my gaming session playing Pony Town. I spent about the first hour of playing Pony Town learning the basics. I then spent another hour learning the basics of using the skillbar. I think I played a total of 6-8 hours for the day, and by the time I was finished, I felt like I had gotten the basics of interacting with the environment, using the skillbar, and interacting with the other ponies. I began on the “Safe” server since I thought it would be a calmer environment, although I found that wasn’t necessarily the case. After a while, I was able to figure out how to adjust the visible dialogue down to a limited number of squares and to click off of ponies I had already clicked on.

I actually recorded my entire first day playing Pony Town, but I deleted the videos because I didn’t want to parse through all the content, and I thought speeding up the video to 32 or 64x might be too much, as well. It was basically me just exploring Pony Town more, getting used to the controls, and trying a little bit of dialogue. I did go on the 18+ server, and to my surprise I hardly noticed any openly-lewd goings-ons. There was a different ponyvibe, for sure, but most ponies seemed to be just ponychilling. The oc’s on the 18+ server did seem to have more distressed appearances.

One notable happening after I stopped recording was a bunch of Miku-ponies going in and out of the library.

After I finished my first Pony Town session, a day or two later I stumbled into Pony Town one afternoon by chance. And there I saw the biggest-ever celebration party-dance. Everything was perfect, cheer was filling up the place. And then I saw that everypon’ did have a smile upon their face….

…so I stayed for a while, not realizing that the event was no ordinary weekly event. I believe I ended up staying for around nine hours. I did, however, get a lot of practice in with the skillbar, including using and combining the dance emotes (and other emotes) to music. Surprisingly (or should it not be), my past ponycon experience was highly applicable to ponying at this event. (There are more pictures below.)

You can only sign up with various social media accounts (listed on the website) (see below), so make sure you want your social media account linked to your Pony Town account if you do.

Overall, the ponies in Pony Town were nice. And by the end of the music event, I feel I had finished learning all of the essentials to interacting with the Pony Town interface. Also, in terms of music, I learned a lot more about all the different pony songs and pony artists out there. There was not only more pony musicians out there than I had expected, but the quality of the songs was good and the songs diverse.
